We’ve been working with CA Technologies for a long time – over 15 years so far – on a wide array of campaigns and projects.
Having such a long-standing client is, of course, fantastic. You get to know their products and processes inside out, build up strong working relationships with the team and find out exactly what makes them tick. But however long you’ve retained a client, there’s always a new challenge around the corner.
And so it was with Continuous Delivery & Agile Summit 2018. It’s an event that, through its own success, has outgrown its original setting at CA’s headquarters and needed a new home for 2018.
This is how CA approached us: can you help us find a venue? Of course that wasn’t all. We’ll need an agenda designed and printed too. Not forgetting logistics on the day, livestreaming, social media competitions, delegate accommodation, digital signage, evening entertainment, seating layouts, lighting, menus, and banners, to mention a few. Plus all the other elements of a two-day summit, from big screen slides to badges. Plenty to get our teeth into!
As the event gained momentum and scope widened, we needed to fulfil all requirements of the project while keeping focused on the real aim, namely providing a great event that not only satisfies the needs of marketing, but tees up genuine pipeline for the sales teams to capitalise on.
A big challenge then.
So how did we do? Was the event in budget, on time and to the exacting standards required by a high profile event?
In the end the event went like clockwork. Smooth running at the time, followed by rave reviews from delegates and internal stakeholders alike. All resulting in a pipeline valued at many times the cost of the event: real, clear return on investment.
What’s next? As always we can’t be sure, but we’re certainly looking forward to the 2019 summit.
